4th of July events in Los Angeles 2017


The Rose Bowl hosts the AmericaFest, the biggest Independence Day celebrations in Los Angeles. Together with a few thousand of your favorite people, you can enjoy food, vendors, music, shows, games, contests, and other themed events that make you proud to be an American. Starting at 10 a.m., the AmericaFest offers free tickets to military and veterans, with tickets for the general public ranging in price from $15 - $30. There is also a free GA section. More Fun on the Fourth

Aside from the AmericaFest, Los Angeles residents and visitors can spend their 4th enjoying the Grand Park July 4 Block Party. Two main stages of performers showcase musical talent from around L.A. Vendors are set-up with food and drinks, while kids will be entertained with the assortment of games.

The Westchester 4th of July Parade is a free event with floats, candy, music, dancing, and more. The parade begins at Loyola Blvd. at 11 a.m. Head out to the San Fernando Valley to enjoy the Independence Day Celebration, held at Hansen Dam Recreational Area. This event provides free entertainment for all ages, including swimming in the lake, a fireworks show, live entertainment, food, and games.

The annual Dennis P. Zine July 4th Extravaganza at Warner Park begins at 6 p.m. with a concert, finishing with fireworks at 9 p.m. The event itself is free, but a $20 parking fee applies. In addition to music and fireworks, this event includes games for the kids, vendors, and a play zone.

If you prefer a smaller crowd, the Barn Dance and BBQ held at Theatricum Botanicum could have what you're looking to find. This annual event offers fun for the entire family, with a plethora of events to make everyone smile. Guests enjoy children's games, races, horseshoes, a cake walk, a dunk tank, and more. BBQ and beer are available for purchase. Of course, when nightfall hits, the fireworks show begins!

Los Angeles is a city that always has entertainment for all ages. It is a tourist city; the city of celebrities and luxury. And so, when the 4th of July rolls around, it is only expected that the city goes out with a bang. This is only a small sampling of 4th of July fun in L.A.
