Let Us Take You to Jazz Heaven With Chick Corea's Upcoming LA Concert

Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world.  There are so many events happening every night in all different parts of the city.  The first couple of weeks in October hold many great concerts for the City of Angels including Jason Mraz, Christina Perri, The Black Keys, Carrie Underwood, Further featuring Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, Madonna and Chick Corea.  No matter what your tastes are, there’s a show for you. And Exclusive Sedan can get you to these events with no hassle, no stress, so you can just sit back and enjoy the show!

Chick Corea is one of the stand-out concerts to hit the area on October 6th at the Valley Performing Arts Center in Northridge.  Corea is a jazz pianist, composer and keyboardists.  He’s one of the jazz greats of our time.  He began studying piano at the very young age of four and once the music bug bit him, he was hooked.  Music became his passion and his hard work and talent has got him where he is today.

Corea’s history is amazing.  In 1968 he replaced Herbie Hancock in Miles Davis’ band with Ron Carter, Wayne Shorter and Tony Williams.  Working with Miles Davis proved to be a dream come true for the young Corea and it set his career on a fascinating path.  In the early ‘70s, he became a part of the jazz fusion creation and movement.  His most popular project to date, Return to Forever, was formed in 1971.  The band still tours today and current members include the great Stanley Clarke on bass, Lenny White on drums, Frank Gambale on guitar, Jean-Luc Ponty on violin, clarinet and saxophone and Corea on keyboards.  Return to Forever recently released two-CD/DVD set this past June called The Mothership Returns.

Corea will be performing with award-winning vibraphonist Gary Burton for their Hot House Tour with the Harlem String Quartet on October 6th at the Valley Performing Arts Center in Northridge.  Corea and Burton have worked together since 1972.  The duo has a new album out, Hot House and will be performing songs off the new album.  These are two of the most talented musicians to ever grace the world of music.  If you are a jazz or fusion fan, this is one show not to miss this year.  Tickets are $65, $50, $35 and $20.  To buy tickets or for more information:  http://www.valleyperformingartscenter.org/calendar/hot-house-tour/
