Ringo Starr Goes to the Greek!

Although he wasn’t the original drummer of what most critics say is the greatest rock band in history, Ringo Starr is without a doubt the most famous. The former Beatles drummer will appear with his latest All Star Band on Saturday July 21st at the fabulous Greek Theatre in LA. Concertgoers who want to avoid having to drive the winding roads leading to the amphitheater in Griffith Park should arrive in luxury limousines and the best to provide them in Los Angeles is Exclusive Sedan.

Ringo Starr joined the Beatles in 1962, replacing Pete Best, who was generally considered an inferior drummer. Within a few years, the band from Liverpool, England became the biggest worldwide act in popular music and has sold more albums than any other band in music history. Even though Ringo wasn't considered a great singer, he did sing some of the Beatles’ most familiar songs, including “Yellow Submarine,” “With a Little Help From My Friends,” “Act Naturally” and “Octopus’s Garden.” After the Beatles broke up in 1970, Starr went on to have a very successful solo career while releasing a number of singles that made the top music charts, including his three gold records: “It Don't Come Easy,” “Photograph” and “You’re Sixteen.”

The former Beatles drummer has been touring with a line up of music All Stars for over 20 years and the latest lineup, the 12th version of the band, features the former lead guitarist of Toto - Steve Lukather, the original lead singer of Santana and co-founder of Journey - Greg Rolie, Todd Rundgren and Richard Page from the popular 90s band - Mr. Mister. Previous members of Starr’s All Star Band are a veritable who’s who in classic rock music – Joe Walsh, Dr. John, Nils Lofgren, Billy Preston, Levon Helm, Randy Bachman, Felix Cavaliere, Peter Frampton, Jack Bruce, Johnny Winter and many more.

Ringo Starr is expected to sing many of his solo and Beatles hits and his All Star Band members will also perform their most familiar songs, such as Toto’s “Rosanna” and “Africa”, Santana’s “Black Magic Woman”, Mr. Mister’s “Broken Wings” and “Kyrie” and Todd Rundgren’s “I Saw the Light”.

Fans of the Beatles music are bound to enjoy a very delightful evening of sing along songs and it’s entirely expected that when Ringo sings “Yellow Submarine”, the audience is sure to be up out of their seats and chiming in on the chorus. And it wouldn't be surprising if the band were to close out the evening with a classic John Lennon or Beatles song such as “Give Peace a Chance” or “With a Little Help From My Friends.”

Over the years, Exclusive Sedan has taken great pride in offering only the best limousine service in the business. Whether concertgoers need a ride from an LA based airport or directly to the Greek Theater, Exclusive Sedan is the perfect solution for anyone’s transportation needs.
