It's Time to Celebrate Thanksgiving in LA

It’s that time of year again where we’re looking forward to some fantastic turkey servings (and pies, of course). For the upcoming long weekend ahead of us, you’ll have lots to occupy yourself with; from buffets and family dining options to parades, volunteer work and fat-burning charity runs.

Things are going to get pretty crowded (especially at hotspot areas), so you’ll want a reliable mode of transportation for the duration of your stay. Our Los Angeles ground transportation service is available throughout the entire festive period and you can be assured of top-notch safety and comfort if you choose to ride with us.

If you haven’t yet decided on a place to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner and where to best show yourself during the celebrations, just take a look at our informative guide below to help you get started:

Handmade LA

If you’re a fan of handmade goods (plus you need to get presents and gifts ready), why not pay a visit to CAFAM’s annual Handmade LA marketplace. You can expect lots of goodies to ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ at and maybe even pick up some to bring home with you. This is a great opportunity to meet and greet both emerging and established makers in the market.

Burbank Community YMCA Turkey Trot

This year, you might want to do something for a good cause. If you think you’re up for running (yes, you’re going to have to wake up early on a holiday), you should definitely join Burbank YMCA’s Turkey Trot, a 5K/10K run/walk. If your kids are interested, there’s also a 1K run available. All proceeds will go to the organization's membership assistance program.

Dining at Akasha

There’s plenty of dishes to choose from (e.g. roasted cauliflower bisque, herb-roasted Mary’s turkey, candied yams, and many more). If you’re looking forward to Akasha’s famous pie buffet, remember to save some space in your tummy.
