Top-Rated Haunted Houses in Los Angeles for 2015

If you want to visit some of the scariest haunted houses in the country, head to Los Angeles, California. In addition to loving the holiday, people in LA are extremely creative. That combination equals haunted houses that are guaranteed to leave you shaking.

Best LA Haunted Houses

Because the haunted houses listed below are genuinely scary, they are not intended for children. In fact, many of these venues have age restrictions, so before heading out for a night of fright,   make sure everyone in your group is allowed to enter.

  • Knott’s Scary Farm – This Halloween haunt is the oldest and biggest in and around the Los Angeles area. In addition to the more than 1,000 monsters roaming about, there are scare zones, mazes, and even live shows. New features for 2015 include Southern voodoo, zombies, and an evil tooth fairy.

  • Ward 13 – The name alone is enough to scare you; once you get inside, be ready to scream. Throughout the 15-minute walk that takes you through the Raymond Hill Sanitarium, you will be approached by an array of scary creatures. Some of the money collected at this Los Angeles haunted house goes to benefit the South Pasadena Educational Foundation.

  • Creep Los Angeles – The monsters at this haunted house are not just scary but downright demented. The venue was inspired by a quote from Walter John Williams that goes, “I’m not afraid of werewolves or vampires or haunted hotels, I’m afraid of what real human beings do to other real human beings.” This haunted house may leave you with several nights of restless sleep.

  • The Sinner’s Soiree – When visiting this haunted house, you have the opportunity to drink with the devil. Located in downtown Los Angeles, the venue consists of a menagerie of monstrous and twisted manifestations of depravity and evil. Roaming around the property are voodoo witch doctors, Mardi Gras clowns, and scandalous can-can dancers to spice things up.

  • Alone: An Existential Haunting – Unlike most haunted houses, this venue does not have any chainsaws, killer clowns, or blood and gore. What it does offer is an experience between you and what lies in the dark. This solitary survival haunted venue is a unique blend of psychological haunting and interactive theater. For 45 minutes, you will walk through a house, as well as themed events known as “Alone.”

Chauffeured Transportation

For a great time visiting haunted houses in Los Angeles this year, go with a group of friends. To make the evening extra special, hire a professional chauffeur for ground transportation. With this, you and your friends will have time to recoup between venues.
