Van Halen Set for Last of Two Concerts in Los Angeles...Do You Have Your Tickets?

In what might be the very last appearance of its original lineup in its hometown, the legendary rock band Van Halen is scheduled to appear at its last of two concerts at the Staples Center on Saturday June 9th. For luxury limousine service to the downtown arena, call the best service in LA, Exclusive Sedan.

One of the greatest rock bands in American music history, Van Halen released a statement a few weeks ago to say that it was canceling or postponing more than 30 shows from its 2012 tour. No official statement on the reason behind the decision was announced but rumors have been circulating through the media, for instance, an article in Rolling Stone Magazine, suggesting “the band is arguing like mad. They’re fighting.” In the band’s defense, the original lead singer and current member of the tour, David Lee Roth released a video on Vimeo while saying “the band is getting along famously.” However Michael Anthony, the original bass player who’s no longer with the band believes that the Rolling Stone article might have some truth behind it as he too has experienced strained relations with the Van Halen brothers and co-founders, Eddie and Alex.

Much of the band’s success occurred with David Lee Roth as the lead singer with brilliant lead guitarist Eddie Van Halen providing some of the most memorable guitar solos in rock history with songs like “Running Like the Devil,” “Eruption,” and “Jump.” The band continued its success after Roth decided to embark on a solo career and was replaced by Sammy Hagar, who went on to sing the lead vocals in other Van Halen hits like “Why Can’t This Be Love,” and “Right Now.”

The current band has Eddie Van Halen’s 21-year-old son, Wolfgang on bass guitar, and the opening act is the 1970s R&B/funk band Kool & the Gang, who also released a string of #1 hits like “Ladies Night,” “Joanna” and its signature hit “Celebration” during its long history in music. Original singer Robert “Kool” Bell and his younger brother continue to lead the band’s current lineup.

For Van Halen and Kool & the Gang fans, the show at the Staples Center should be a lively and entertaining event filled with a string of memorable, sing along songs. As usual in the streets of downtown LA, traffic will be heavy but by booking reservations with the award winning Exclusive Sedan limousine service, you can find in luxury and comfort to and from the show.
